How It All Began
Every great story starts with a dream. For Doodles, it began with a young girl who loved colors and baking, watching her grandmother create magic in the kitchen. That little girl was Suman, and her fascination with baking would eventually transform into something much bigger than she ever imagined.
From Dentist to Baker: A Passion Reignited
Suman grew up imitating her grandmother's recipes, falling in love with the art of baking from a very early age. As she grew older, she pursued dentistry and successfully became a dentist. Yet, the spirit of baking never left her. The aroma of fresh bread, the joy of decorating cakes, the satisfaction of creating something beautiful from scratch—it kept pulling her back.

The First Kitchen
What started as a young woman experimenting in her kitchen slowly grew into something bigger. With passion as her guide and persistence as her strength, Suman began teaching from home, one student at a time. Each cake baked, each technique mastered, each smile on a student's face reinforced her belief: baking could change lives.
Opening the Café: A Milestone
Opening the café was a milestone. Suman finally had a space where her passion met people. It was filled with warmth, creativity, and the aroma of fresh bakes. Customers loved the authenticity, and the café became a beloved spot in Bangalore. But when the lockdown struck, the café had to shut its doors—a tough and emotional decision.

The Pivot to Education
The café's closure could have been a setback, but for Doodles, there was never a setback—every challenge only became a stepping stone. During this phase, the focus shifted entirely to education. Online classes were introduced, allowing learners to join from their homes and experience hands-on training virtually. This dedication and persistence ensured that every bake and every class delivered the best possible outcome.
Growth Beyond the Classroom
As growth continued, the journey expanded beyond classes into consulting for bakeries and cafés, helping new ventures shape their menus and concepts. Soon, Doodles also became a wholesale supplier to well-known brands like Chaayos, Chai Point, Truffles, and many more. Suman also took charge of Kund Indian Barbecue and grew it to great heights, reflecting not only her passion for food but also her ability to lead, manage, and scale a restaurant successfully.
